Merendino brings the vampire summer camp

Since hitting the iron while it is hot is a wise marketing move, director James Merendino has decided a few genera all need to be hit at the same time. So while the vampires are still a hot commodity, and still not finished with adolescent musical contests we are getting vampire summer camp.

FirstShowing actions:
In order to capitalize on the popularity of vampires and musical series of Fox "Glee" what seems, the film follows two summer camps and music competition that embark en.Un camp filled with youthful appearance, but centuries old vampires, it is expected that competition will not be held during the day

Now with shows like Glee was a huge success, not blame him, but it seems that everyone is trying to vampires everywhere.

The problem is that the vampires themselves are not the problema.Las mass variations on the mythical creatures can result in some good stories, but flooding the market with each reference of vampires a bad word.

And I doubt that it meets band camp to help Twilight.

Ghost Rider recruits his Devil

The next sequel to at least impressive film Ghost Rider added two more to your list. Ciaran Hinds, who played a deliciously drunk on power at Rome TV will play the devil, and the beautiful Violante Placido has signed as well.

Live action films:
Ciaran Hinds (Rome, life during the war) and singer-Italian actress Violante Placido (US) are in talks to join Ghost Rider: spirit of vengeance.Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (boot) are leading.

The new film sees Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Cage), hides in Eastern Europe remote and struggling to suppress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the Devil (Hinds), it wants to take the body of his mortal son on the birthday child.

I'm not all that excited about another movie Ghost Rider and the idea that could be a remote Eastern Europe removes type settings that image see Ghost Rider on a motorcycle with demonic urban style.

Perhaps if you gave a rats ass about the one-dimensional character and already not let down by the first movie Ghost Rider...

Review: The Ward

Today we have a special examination as a contributor to guest and friend of mine had the opportunity to see the John Carpenter Ward at the Toronto Film Festival and offered to review it for the site.

Jason DeBattista is a treasure trove of knowledge of horror cinema and a real fan of the nave.Retirar review Ward

Genre: horror
Directed by: John Carpenter
Staring: Amber Heard, Danielle Panabaker, Lyndsy Fonseca, Jared Harris, Mamie Gummer, Laura-Leigh, Mika Boorem, Sean Cook
Published: 13 September 2010 (world premiere of international Toronto Film Festival)

THE GENERAL IDEA

Kristen (Amber Heard) Burns down House farm gets arrested and placed in a psychiatric hospital, where secrets are to her around. Kristen not being crazy even with no knowledge of why she is the Pavilion claims. When the lights of emerging girls in the Pavilion are locked in his room, which is when the dark hospital charges life with images and sounds that can not be real or can?

THE GOOD

John Carpenter always had a good visual eye, but in this film is simply amazing to watch.Taking place in 1966 all sets/locations, costumes and cars/furniture all feel rights. The Royal Pavilion in the title actually feels very real sense since shot the film in a hospital and prison for the insane criminal, who was and is still used in that capacity.

All performances in the film are quite good, Amber Heard, being the only one with more screen time has to be more credible performance manages to play their characters fear, confusion and IRA very bien.Danielle Panabaker who normally plays a nice girl gets to play this time around the bitch optimistic and she tosses it very well. The Good doctor (Jared Harris) manages to bring a good sense of the reality of the film by managing to be the sane or point normal to audiences which makes the "crazy" characters that appear to be much more crazy.

One thing that I found that you worked for the film was the scares jump, the film would be a time slow, and then something would jump out and grabs your attention.

BAD

I said all saw it very much of the time, that was true, except for one thing.I found that Amber Heard, even with all the clothes period, it seemed she was a girl from 2010 onwards, dressed as a girl from 1966.No is a huge complaint, but it is something that I notado.Un element that I hate writing section incorrectly for a John Carpenter film music is really not helping the película.Ahora not hurt but Carpenter is known for scores that help create tension in his films, not ésta.Incluso film like vampires that many people don't like qualification of aid to the film.

Now I jump scared in as a good thing, but I have to say it in as one with as well as they can be cheap scares and not everyone you main gustan.La complaint I have with this film is that tends to be a slow film rhythm seems a little off, not scupper the film, but is something I've noticed.

GLOBAL

If you want to get a date for a movie where he jump or grab you during the movie you should check this when hits teatros.El gesture is pretty good, a fun time end viendo.El almost wrecked the film, but in the last 30 or so seconds made for ella.La score wasn't great but was the design of production. all performances were very well, even if you don't have the Amber aspect as it is in General to be observed a fans of horror/Carpenter.Si film 60′s have hated those past few films John Carpenter has done here, you should give this a chance because it is very different than the movies.

Give to John Carpenter the Ward 7 of every 10

Brolin compares Megan Fox to Katharine Hepburn

Posted by Rodneyon 15. 09. 2010in News Chat

Since Josh Brolin went on record to admit that Jonah Hex was a bad film that “got away from its original vision” he has been trying to recover his reputation.

But apparently he isn’t done making statements and this next one raises an eyebrow as he defends Megan Fox comparing her to Katharine Hepburn.

Get the Big Picture shares:
Brolin feels that like Hepburn, Fox just isn’t appreciated in her own time. According to Brolin:

“Katharine Hepburn, one of the most appreciated actresses today, was hated back in her heyday. She was box office poison … They didn’t understand her. Yet now we all look back and go, ‘Okay, she was incredible.’”
He went on to add: “I would love to be the person who puts Megan in a film in which she can actually do something interesting.”

Now at this point, I would say this is utter nonsense. This girl is nothing but a pretty face, which is the same criticism that Hepburn got in her day.

But maybe one day a project will come out and Fox will blow us all away and people will talk about that film wondering where she has been hiding this talent.

I’m just not holding my breath.

I can see her being an amazing actress, with the right director to push her. I say have someone like Fincher put her in one of his movies and have him churn out an amazing performance from her.

Reply GL says: September 15, 2010 at 12:31 pm

The problem with Ms. Fox in which Brolin completely ignored is that early in her career Hepburn won an Academy Award for Best Actress, not Supporting, just Best Actress. Fox unfortunally doesn’t have that power early in her career, and she may be a pretty face but that is probably the only connection that those two should ever share. Hepburn was critized for many things, but unlike Fox, she delivered.

all kidding aside, I dont see a Hepburn here.

Well this isn’t the first time someone defended her either. I remember last year Mickey Rourke made some comments about her after he got to work with her the first time. He said he wasn’t expecting much and was surprised.

So yea, there may be something to Brolin comments. Sorry, I cannot remember where the Mickey Rourke article was to site as source. Old fuzzy memory and all you know.

Reply Mike V Banno says: September 15, 2010 at 1:59 pm

To be fair, it’s not like she’s had a lot of actual ‘ACTING’ gigs. And by that I mean the most we’ve seen her in is Transformers and Jennifer’s Body. Nothing I’d say were serious acting gigs.

Pokemon Live Action?

Posted by Rodneyon 15. 09. 2010in News Chat

Ok, this is really hard to see, and its fast paced but what you are looking at is what could be a live action Pokemon film. A contributor at Shogungamer says he attended a secret movie trailer screening and was shown the clip and managed to catch the last 30 seconds of it on his cell phone.

While it does look a little awkward with the gritty real updated adult versions of the TV show’s main characters (and guns too) the Pokemon themselves still look cute and cartoony.

Let’s face it. Most Pokemon fans are all growed up now anyways, so it make sense to try and target this at a slightly older-than-toddler crowd, but if they are going to make the characters older and more mature, then I would think they would want to make the Pokemon themselves more impressive too.

I hadn’t even heard they were working on this, so who knows what will come of it. Could have been a test market to get a reaction before they go ahead and make a movie, or could be a fan film.

I have a bizarre attachement to the franchise as back before the days of TheMovieBlog.com I worked for a movie review site (that evolved into this site) and Pokemon 2000 was the first film I had to review (Out of our team I was the only one with kids so I got saddled with these types of movies) and you never forget your first!

Looks low-budget and bad

Reply Matt says: September 15, 2010 at 9:33 am

But yes, maybe the test market idea…maybe thinkinga bout a more polished piece later.

Reply H says: September 15, 2010 at 9:42 am

it looks horrible and outdated, they must seriously be running out of ideas in order for them to be doing this.

Reply Slushie Man says: September 15, 2010 at 9:57 am

I thought it looked surprisingly good, effects aside. And I’m sure if this is legit, they’d be fixing up the effects work before release anyway.

Reply Danny says: September 15, 2010 at 10:50 am

Not a bad idea. Unlike some franchises that seem to do movies or tv shows based on original material that’s very dated I think this workds because as you say there are a lot of adults who grow up with Pokemon in their cartoon and/or video gaming background (I happen to have both).

Let’s just hope it doesn’t end up like that live action Dragonball movie from a few years ago…

Reply Slushie Man says: September 15, 2010 at 11:09 am

Even that could have turned out a lot better then it did, had they padded the movie out a bit more and just included some characterization. If they had added just an extra 15-20 minutes, and make most of that characterization scenes, I feel the movie would have turned out far better then it did.

Reply Danny says: September 15, 2010 at 11:27 am

Characterization and action. Dragonball has been associated with fast paced fighting (okay fast paced fights between LOTS of drawn out scenes) and I really didn’t get that from that movie.

im not bying this idea

Reply GL says: September 15, 2010 at 12:26 pm

The fact that there isn’t any iformation about this shows that this is definitely a marketing thing. We are most definitely either looking at the next Dragon Ball film or just an idea for a much bigger picture. Trust me, if a live Pokemon film is being made, it will be on 3D.

Reply Ryan3D says: September 15, 2010 at 1:22 pm

wow be cool if it was less violent cant replace cute with guns and death. i dont see it happening if its gonna be bout guns and not pokemon

Reply Evilution says: September 15, 2010 at 4:27 pm

It is a fan-made trailer pretending to be caught by a cell phone.

Reply Castle91 says: September 15, 2010 at 4:29 pm

Something as colorful & silly as poke’mon doesn’t mix well with reality. It looked like parody/fan film like the “There Will Be Brawl” series.

Reply Bumbledoor says: September 15, 2010 at 4:42 pm

Are we SURE this isn’t something the SyFy network is working on?

Reply Leif Erikson says: September 15, 2010 at 5:32 pm

This has to be fan made.
ai am not completely opposed to the idea of a live action Pokemon movie
I think it could work as long as it doesn’t look like they took the characters straight out of Nintendo 64′s Pokemon Stadium.

Mr. Joel Schumacher is making a film about Barry White.Yes, that is correct - the five Grammy-winner of the best known for his voice under Rico and romantic image, Barry White.Pero, time is a biopic about his life and his carrera.Se is something more.

Hadron reports:
Pajiba, Schumacher has history of Barry White lined up as his next project - but it is not a biopic. Instead, it (get this) "the ghost of Barry White teach some loser kid how to channel him to get a girl".

It is what it is.To read this, felt bad for Mr. white.I was like: "Damn, that is quite cool.Barry is to get a film about him to the Ray."Good for him "... But then kept reading and laughed."This is one of those ideas, that's so crazy on paper, that may only work on screen. who knows? we will have to wait for a seat.

Do you think this would work? could see this? what is White is a biopic instead?
