Fast Five, the next chapter in the Fast and Furious films has released a plot synopsis that tells us just how Vin Deisel will be facing off against Dwayne Johnson.
Filmofilila shares:
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of returning all-stars from every chapter of the explosive franchise built on speed in Fast Five. In this installment, former cop Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law. Dwayne Johnson joins returning favorites Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar for this ultimate high-stakes race.
So… the premise of this film is that they are reuniting cast from across the first four films? For a race? Stop the presses…
Oh wait. There is more…
Since Brian and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) broke Dom out of custody, they’ve blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he’s not the only one on their tail.
Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) never misses his target. When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can’t separate the good guys from the bad. Now, he must rely on his instincts to corner his prey… before someone else runs them down first.
Ok, that has a little more story to it, but is basically the same thing. High stakes race, lots of eyecandy and cars too.
I liked three out of the first four films of the fast and furious franchise. Wow… alarming amount of alliteration!
But with the exception of part 2 which I despise, the movies do appeal to me. So here’s hoping the fifth will still impress.
Fast Five will hit theaters on June 10th, 2011.

Share Bookmark or Share this Post! Why do you despise part 2? I thought it was good fun, good action sequences and eva mendes looked immense… Part 3 in tokyo was the weak link for me, felt like the American Pie franchise after the American Pie the wedding when all the main characters are replaced for the sake of a couple of straight to dvd sequels (i realise it didnt go stright to dvd but I think you know what im getting at), luckily they got vin diesel and walker back for the 4th.
ReplyWe agree Rodney on this… I like 0 out of for 4 fast and furious movies… The first had its moments, but it went to be just … dust in the wind
ReplyThen you DON’T agree. I liked 3 out of the 4.
ReplyI’ve enjoyed all of them purely on an eyecandy entertainment level. They’re all really nice to look at, and they’ve all been lots of fun mindless entertainment, even the second, though I agree it’s the weakest. Looking forward to this one, though I hope they add more hot chicks to it, to even out the cast a bit, since all the girls get three really hot guys (In their eyes), and as far as I can tell, we only so far have the one hot girl. Bring back Eva Mendez and I’ll be good :)
Replyit’s gonna be the best action movie next year, trust me!!,
ReplyI am curious as to why you are so sure of this? You speak like you have seen this already.
ReplyI liked all the movies even part 3 in Tokyo they should have brought that kid back in this ones
